Base Materials Limited provide industry leading products for some of the most recognisable brands in the world. Their epoxy pattern and tooling board solutions are used in F1, motorsport, supercar and marine sectors where toughened and high temperature materials are required.

Indusvent were recently awarded a project to Design, supply and install an energy saving dust extraction system for Base Materials Leicestershire based factory.

The system comprised Indusvent’s renown Super-Blower model SB90-5.0 together with a high efficiency type JK80MTD – 75kW main exhaust fan set located on the clean air side of the system.

A scraper conveyor discharge arrangement loading into 2 x Sealed Bulk Bags with level sensing and changeover system to facilitate bag changes during operation, this feature eliminates the need to allow downtime in production for bag changes and is also a sealed system ensuring zero emissions to atmosphere.

This negative pressure system is capable of operating 24/7 it also auto detects the extraction demand and modulates according to the conditions,  this system has proven to be 58% more electrical energy efficient than a traditional positive pressure extraction system.
